Why Democrats Are Responsible For The Mess We’re In

Editors Note: This is an update to the article we originally published in October of 2009, which contains much of the data that Rush Limbaugh mentioned on his radio show on Friday, January 29th during the second hour of his show.  The data used below comes from Government websites, notably the Department of Labor, Bureau of Statistics and contains the original reference links to the data we used for our analysis below. 

Obama and the Democrats have the audacity to brag that the economy is getting better and that the job cut numbers have gone down? Looks to me like they have NOTHING to brag about.

Anyone with a right-thinking brain that looks at the above chart and clicks on the link I provided is going to see a very scary picture for the Democrats.

First, CLICK HERE and look at 2001. As Bush took office our economy was already contracting, showing signs of economic weakness. Most (not all) economists will tell you that job losses under 300,000 a month means our economy is growing.  Job losses exceeding  300,000 a month means we're experiencing a contraction. Beginning in Sept. of 2001 we saw the contraction begin post the 9-11 attacks.

By October we were in contraction mode. Then what happened? THE BUSH TAX CUTS WERE PASSED AND GOVERNMENT ISSUED TAX REBATE CHECKS. This action stopped our economy from turning fully negative and by early 2002 we were back in growth mode, meaning less than 300,000 jobs per month were being lost.

Second point, look at 2002 where we actually experienced months of PRO JOB GROWTH. June, October, November of 2002 saw positive, net new jobs being added to the economy. Why is 2002 important? Because it's the first year of the Republican (White House & Congress) Federal Budget. The last Clinton budget expired in 2001, leaving George W. Bush free to create the first all Republican Federal Budget, which included tax cuts for all and tax rebates for all, including our small businesses which are the economic engine of our country.

Now look at 2003, more pro job growth as the Bush Tax Cuts fully kick in and we see NET JOB GROWTH in six months: January, July, September, October, November and December. This is now the second year of the Republican controlled White House & Congress. Even while we're at war in Iraq, jobs continue to grow and become plentiful and federal income tax revenues reach near all time highs.

After a second round of Bush Tax Cuts fully kicks in, 2004 sees a full year of NET JOB GROWTH, there are no net job losses (no minus signs in front of the numbers) for the entire year.

Now look at 2005, 2006 and 2007.  For 34 of the 36 months in this time period, the economy EXPANDS adding net new jobs. Exactly how was this the "worst economy since WW2?" According to the Democrats and the "mainstream media," "most economists agree the recession began in December of 2007." If you look though, you'll see that December of 2007 actually ADDED 120,000 jobs to our economy!

Now let's look at 2008, which is the first Democrat Controlled Congress' fiscal budget since they took over Congress in 2006.  Here it’s important to remember that Congress writes the Federal Budget a year in advance, and the last Republican Congress in 2006 wrote the Federal Budget for 2007.  The Democrats first Federal Budget was written in 2007 for the 2008 Federal Budget year.  

Immediately in January 2008 (again, the first year of the Democrat Controlled Congress' Federal Budget) our economy starts LOSING jobs.

By September of 2008, job losses cross the 300,000 mark, which is where most economists agree that the job market starts contracting as one of the first signs that a recession is happening. As we get closer to the election, job losses accelerate to 380,000 jobs lost in October, 2008 and balloon up to nearly 600,000 jobs lost in November of 2008.

Now stop and ask yourself why this happened? The answer is painfully obvious and clear: Obama had a full year of "hope and change" mantra under his belt. Small businesses as exemplified by "Joe the Plumber" knew what Obama's anti-small business, pro Big Government Tax and Spend rhetoric was all about. As we approached the election and it became more and more clear that Obama would win, companies began shedding jobs. Why? It's simple, and anyone who's ever started up a business knows what I'm about to say is true.

As a former small business owner myself who's started up two companies and sold them off, I can tell you that as the primary risk taker, I deserve the rewards of starting up the company and taking all the risks. If the Government (in this case, Obama) is telling me that they're going to RAISE TAXES I have an obligation to myself and my family first to maintain my standard of living.

In short, that means someone who works for me is going to lose their job. That's just the way it is and anyone who owns a small business will tell you the same.  (If they don’t they’re LYING.)

In November of 2008 when small and large businesses across this country saw that Obama actually won, they knew that taxes were going up, Obama was going to force all kinds of "mandates" on them (Cap & Trade anyone?) and that they'd have to do something to protect their profits to stay in business.

That means people lose their jobs.

Now look at November - December of 2008 through today. From the time Obama won the election in November, 2008 through today, a total of 4,864,000 jobs have been lost. That's an average of 540,000 jobs a month.

And this Obama occupied White House and the Democrats have the audacity to brag that the economy is finally starting to "recover?"

I hope you're still looking at This Chart from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, 1999 - 2009 because here's the most important question of all:

Where are the jobs Obama was going to "create or save" with the so-called Economic Stimulus?

The answer is: ZERO. Not a single job has been created since this ZERO took office.  If any jobs were created it’d be reflected as positive job growth in the Bureau of Labor Statistics data.  We simply don’t see that.

This brings me to my second question: Exactly how did the unemployment number DROP from 9.5% to 9.4% when not a single net new job has been created, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics? The reality is, it CAN'T drop unless net jobs are being added to the economy!

The reason that the Unemployment number under Bush was down to 4.5% during his Presidency was because NET NEW JOBS were being created in this economy.  The numbers from the Bureau of Labor Statistics don’t lie – they’re non-partisan.

Conclusion: Obama and the Democrats have NOTHING to "brag" about stating this economy is getting better. IT IS NOT! We are still in decline, as evidenced by the charts and numbers provided by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Now they can claim "well, the pace of the decline has slowed" and that may be true - for now. If Obama gets his "health care reform" and "Cap & Tax" plans implemented you'll see the numbers climb again as small to medium sized businesses take on more major financial hits in paying more new taxes to the Government to fund Socialized Health Care and stop "global warming."

My (revised) prediction: the worst may be yet to come.  Even though the Democrats have now lost three key races (Virginia, New Jersey, Scott Brown in Massachusetts) Nancy Pelosi and key Democrats continue to be hell bent on passing the monstrosity known as “ObamaCare” on the rest of us.   Additionally, in his SOTU address, Obama continued to push for Cap & Trade legislation which would implement a carbon energy tax that would affect the price of everything made or grown in this country should it pass.  The worst may be yet to come as it appears the tone-deaf Democrat leadership and the current occupant of the White House simply refuse to see the writing on the wall that they’re headed in the wrong direction.

Economy Falling Apart, Obama Calls For End to “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell”

Talk about being out of touch with the pain that many American’s are going through in this, the worst recession since the Great Depression.  Hell, we may as well call it Depression II.

Obama will say anything to the American people, but don’t let yourselves be fooled.

When Obama says he will "freeze" spending during the State of the Union, he's "freezing" spending at 2009 levels which means we will continue to have massive social spending as far as the eye can see, as long as this bozo occupies the White House.

The total amount of money "frozen" amounts to less than one half of one percent of our NATIONAL DEBT over the next TWENTY YEARS.  Obama himself has added 4 TRILLION of that debt himself in his first year as President.

Freeze spending?  Not exactly.  Locked in Socialism and massive Federal Spending is more like it. 

 

Every time Obama says he’ll “freeze spending” he’s calling you and I stupid because he thinks we’ll fall for his ruse.  A real freeze in spending would be to roll back Congressional spending to pre 2007 levels, before the Democrats took over Congress and EXPLODED the Federal Deficit by 1.5 TRILLION DOLLARS in 2009 and 1.7 TRILLION DOLLARS in 2010.

 

That would be a real freeze in spending.

 

Obama and the Democrats think you’re stupid by freezing the equivalent of 1 half of one percent of our National Debt over the next Twenty years.

 

Don’t fall for it, especially those of you who voted for this ass-clown in the first place.  You know what they say … fool me once, shame on you.  Fool me twice, shame on me.

So how many of you Obama voters are left out there that believe the words that come out of this ass-clowns mouth?

By the looks of the latest polling data, it’s an ever shrinking number.

Rasmussen polling shows Obama at an ALL TIME HIGH dis-approval rating.

Read it and weep Obama-nuts.  Your boy is down to a paltry 23% approval rating, with 44% negatives.  That’s worse than the “dreaded Bush” and below even Jimmy Carter territory.

While Obama attacks the Banking industry of this country, allow me to educate you on just who really controls the flow of credit in this country.

It’s not Obozo.  Not Bernanke.  Not the Fed or Treasury.

It’s the BANKS.

And they’re about to teach Obama a lesson at your and my expense.

Here’s how it’s going to play out.

Obama attacks America’s banking system, painting them as the villians.

Banks in response, knowing that Obama wants to take them back to the 1930’s Depression era regulations and raise their taxes, start restricting credit to business’ large and small, as well as personal credit to save Capital which they’ll need.

That means you and I, along with countless businesses across the country can no longer get loans or lines of credit, further crashing the economy and driving up unemployment.

But wait, this gets better.

Those same banks will raise fees and implement new fees to cover the “taxes” they had to pay to the Federal Government because Obozo doesn’t understand how our economy works.  Economics 101 in your local high-school teaches that all costs of providing a good or service are ultimately paid by the end consumer (you and I.)  As the Federal Government throws our banking system back to the stone age and raises taxes on them, you and I will pay higher fees for the ‘privilidge’ of keeping our money in the bank.

You may be tempted to blame the Bank, but remember, it was Obama that drove their cost of doing business up and as you now know, all costs of providing a good or service to a consumer are passed onto the consumer in the form of higher prices (or fee’s.)

The net effect is that you and I get screwed both ways. First we cannot get a loan or extend our lines of credit to keep our businesses open, then we get hit by higher banking fees (which are really a tax increase passed through the banks, via Obama and the Federal Government.)

If you like high unemployment just wait.  10% is nothing compared to what’s coming under this ass-clown.

Economists Agree, Administration Policies Will Kill Banking Idustry, Availability of Credit

So how does Barack Hussein Obama respond to the Democrats loss of their super-majority in the U.S. Senate?

Simple: By declaring war on America's banking system, implementing depression era, draconian rules on banks which would limit consumer and small business access to credit and in fact their own money!

Obama has now declared WAR not only on U.S. banks, he's declared it on each and every one of us who has a checking or savings account, owns a small business, or require credit to keep cash flow going.

The policies Obama wants implemented will raise fees on each and every bank account holder across the country, as Obama seeks to "reign in" the largest banks.  By forcing banks to pay new fees (read that: TAXES) to the Federal Government, the reality is those costs will be pushed down to each and every bank account holder in the form of fees.

Obama wants a war on you and I?  He's got a war.  The conclusion of which he'll see in November of 2010 when the Democrat Congress gets neutered.

Proof They Still Didn’t Get The Message After The Massachusetts Drubbing

Everything Obama and the Congressional Democrats touch turns to poison.

Since the Democrats took over congress in 2006, the economy has turned south, the housing market has crashed, unemployment has hit double-digits, the States have been going bankrupt, our Automobile industries received tens of billions of dollars of taxpayer bailouts, AIG, Lehman Brothers and hundreds of billions of banking industry bailouts all wasting valuable taxpayer dollars.

To make matters even worse the Senate Democrats proposed just yesterday – one day after getting their asses kicked in Massachusetts … to raise the debt limit another record $1.9 TRILLION dollars to just over $14.3 TRILLION DOLLARS.  Where was this in the Liberal Media?  Nowhere to be found.

After three high profile losses in a row (Virginia, New Jersey, and Massachusetts) one would think the Democrats would’ve gotten the message to STOP SPENDING OUR MONEY, but clearly they did not. 

Scott Brown’s victory in Massachusetts on Tuesday put a crimp in the Democrats plans to ram “health care reform” down our throats and on that topic we need to remain vigilant to make sure that the monstrosity called “ObamaCare” never sees the light of day again.

It is time however to re-open the battle on a second front: force Congress to stop spending money we and our children simply do not have!

In just about three short months on April 15th on the steps of the United States Capitol in Washington D.C. on the Mall, patriots from around the country will join together in what should be the largest and most effective demonstration of citizen power.  We will take our message of restoring America’s liberties right to the doorsteps of those who were elected to serve we the people and force this Government’s spending to STOP.

We cannot say it enough that each and every one of our freedoms, liberties and very livelihood’s have been under direct assault by this Administration and Congress.  That’s the bad news.

The good news is we the people have had an impact in sending our own message back to Congress – STOP SPENDING OUR MONEY by tossing out one tax-and-spend liberal after another.

On April 15th as we gather on the steps of the Capital in Washington D.C. we will be sending a very strong message to this Congress that we the American People will defend our liberty at the ballot box come November 2010.

Please join us as we tell this Administration and this Congress that their abuse of the American People will be tolerated NO MORE! and that we are taking our country and our government back.

After One Year in Office, Massachusetts & America Say “NO!” To Big Government, Spending, Health Care “Reform”

Today marks the end of Obama’s first year in office.

Yesterday’s LANDSLIDE election of Scott Brown, the first Republican Senator from Massachusetts in nearly 40 years is no doubt sending shock waves through the White House and the Democrat party.

Yet, before the election results were tallied and the race called for Brown, the Obama Administration was announcing they were “doubling down” on health care reform.  Obama is already pressuring Pelosi to have the House vote on the Senate bill in order to avoid the 60 vote “supermajority” while requiring only a simple majority – 51 in the Senate.

Does Obama really think that the rest of the Democrats are going to go over the cliff with him?  After all, the November mid term elections aren’t that far away, and now there’s even more impetus for the Blue Dog Democrats to turn against Obama.  There’s also Bart Stupak (D. MI) with 40+ Pro-Life Democrats that have already gone on record as saying they won’t vote for the Senate version of Health Care “Reform” because it contains public funded abortions.  That denies the Pelosi Proletariat the votes required to pass the bill in the House, which would prevent the 60 votes required to pass in the Senate, thus also ending passing the bill through “reconciliation.”

The facts of the Massachusetts Special Election are that the voters said:

1. NO MORE GOVERNMENT SPENDING!  That includes additional ‘stimulus’ spending, or printing money.
2. NO GOVERNMENT CONTROL OF HEALTH CARE!  Massachusetts happens to know the financial impacts of government run health care, it’s bankrupted their state!
3. NO MORE OBAMA AGENDA!  Massachusetts voters see that “change” was really good old fashioned bait and switch by Obama.

Obama has now lost in Virginia, New Jersey and Massachusetts after campaigning for the Democrats in all three states.  Clearly he’s poison to everything he touches.  (Remember Copenhagen anyone?  He failed there twice.  Once for the Olympics, once for “climate change.”) 

History tells us that Massachusetts fired the “shot heard round the world” at the opening of the war for independence from King George III.  Yesterday marked the “first shot” in the new revolution against the Federal Government.

Thank you Massachusetts!

No Howard, this was a referendum on Obama’s first year in office, and a judgement of his capacity to “govern” for the remainder of his first and only term. 

That judgement came in a landslide.

Today, the good voters of Massachusetts have the power and ability to stop the Obama-Socialism train from wrecking America.

The first shot in the freedom for our country’s independence from King George III was fired in Boston.

Today, the good voters of Massachusetts get to fire the first round in the new battle for America’s freedoms – our health care freedoms, our freedom to keep the fruits of our labors, our freedoms as expressed by the Founding Fathers in the Constitution of the United States of America.

Today we ask the voters of Massachusetts to “fire the first shot” and vote for Scott Brown for United States Senate.  Stop the Obama agenda and stop the march towards socialism in America!

White House Preparing Excuses For Coakley Loss

Real Clear Politics is quoting a Public Policy Polling survey from Sunday evening which shows Massachusetts State Senator Scott Brown holding a 5 percentage point lead over Attorney General Martha Coakley ahead of tomorrow’s special election for Senate:

Some troubling signs for Democrats: one-in-five Obama voters now say they'll back the Republican nominee. Brown's supporters are also more enthusiastic about their vote, with 4-of-5 saying they're "very excited" about voting Tuesday, compared to only 3-of-5 of Coakley voters saying the same.

PPP also points out: "The likely electorate for Tuesday's election continues to express skepticism about the Democratic health care plan with 48% saying they're opposed to 40% who support it. President Obama's approval stands at 44/43."

Considering nearly 70% of American’s disapprove of the job this Congress is doing, and 60% say the country is heading in the “wrong direction” many see Coakley as the “de-facto” incumbent, which will not bode well for her at the ballot box tomorrow.

Fearing Kerry Victory in 2004, Democrats Stripped Governor Mitt Romney (R.) of Appointment Power

In a twist of irony that isn’t being reported in the lamestream media, Massachusetts Democrats have themselves to thank … or blame … for the situation they find themselves in today.

In 2004, Massachusetts Democrats in the State Legislature were so convinced that John Kerry was going to win the Presidency, that they worried about losing the Senate seat Kerry occupied to a Republican.

At that time, Mitt Romney (R.) was Governor of Massachusetts, and no where was it codified into state law that the sitting Governor must fill a vacated Senate seat with an appoint from the same party as a departing Senator.

Rather than risk Romney appointing a Republican Senator, the Massachusetts State Legislature passed a law – then over-rode Governor Romney – requiring special elections to fill vacant Senate Seats.

Once Ted Kennedy died, Massachusetts Democrats in their arrogance claimed “Ted Kennedy’s Seat” for the Democrat Party in perpetuity, believing Massachusetts voters were too stupid to vote anything other than Democrat.

Enter Scott Brown who’s now polling +5 the day before the special election to fill the people’s seat once held by Ted Kennedy.

The importance of this election cannot possibly be overstated, nor can the White House minimize a Coakley loss.  A Brown victory by 5 percentage points or higher will be as big a landslide as Obama’s 5 percentage point victory in November of 2008.  It will also mark a major turning point in American politics as the second “shot heard ‘round the world.”

As we witnessed Obama during the Presidential campaign, he promised transparency and bi-partisanship – until he got elected and relied on the Democrats super-majority to impose his tyrannical will on the country.

That stops tomorrow with a Brown victory in Massachusetts.

The Fight For Freedom Began in Massachusetts

The “Shot Heard ‘Round The World – April 19th, 1775

Here we are, just about 235 years after the War for this Nation’s birth and Independence began in Massachusetts, we are about to begin the battle anew.

Back then, the British Empire was still the strongest in the world and with few exceptions, other countries hardly gave us a chance.  Even here in the “colonies” many of our own ancestors and in fact our forefathers were at times bitterly divided on the subject of independence.

Yet, the revolution happened and America was born.  When you sit down and really think about it, our own Forefathers recognized tyranny when they saw it, and they revolted over far less than the tyranny that’s being inflicted on we the people today, by our own government no less!

As Americans we are born a free people.  We are not subjects or slaves, we do not need nor want others to decide matters of individual liberty for us.  The shackles of slavery that King George III put on our ancestors were thrown off that fateful day, April 19th 1775 when the opening shot in the war for America’s independence was fired.

In the rich history of America, no country has fought to defend its freedoms, or to help those who were oppressed to obtain theirs than we, the United States of America have.  This country has fought and defeated the tyranny of the Emperor of Japan in World War II after being attacked in Pearl Harbor, liberated our ally France from Hitler and the Nazi’s during World War II, and helped our homeland of England defend their island nation against the Nazi incursion.

This great country had the courage and conviction to stand pat against the Russians during the cold war until finally the Berlin Wall fell and the cold war was won. 

America has liberated tens of millions of people around the world in our relatively short 235 year history.  No other country can match the accomplishments of the United States of America and it makes me proud to be an American.

Likewise, no other country will be capable of laying claim to the biggest failure this world has ever seen if we do not turn back the tide of Socialism and the Socialists that infest our Government today.

We are on the precipice of turning this great experiment in Democracy – Government of the people, by the people, and for the people – into an elitist run tyranny in Washington D.C. where the consensus seems to be that we work for them, not they for us, and every facet of our lives is to be managed by a Federal Government.

Our ancestors and forefathers fought, bled and died for our freedom right here on American soil.  This battle wasn’t fought overseas in Normandy or Paris or the deserts of Africa, it was fought right here at home.  Our forefathers very blood is in this soil, and frankly speaking they declared their independence over a far less tyrannical government than we face today!

“Let’s face it, the greatest threat to America’s freedoms isn’t from Al-Qaeda or Osama Bin Laden.  Our greatest threat to freedom comes from Al-Democrat Party and Barack Hussein Obama!”

Today the battlefront is on the Internet, “Town Hall” meetings, in the lamestream media, our Churches and often within our own families as political ideologies are exposed and collide.

There are many saying that the battle to take back our country cannot be won.  It’s too late.  There’s more moochers than there are producers.   To those who say it’s too late, I say step out of the way and let the rest of us fight to keep our freedoms.  We have one last chance to keep our country this election, this is the opening shot in the new battlefront!

This revolution may not have guns, bullets, blood and death … at least this time … but it will have YouTube video’s documenting the Al-Democrat party’s thug tactics to steal another election and should they try and stop us from taking back this government via the ballot box again, I say let the true revolution begin!

Let’s start with MSNBC’s #1 assclown Ed Schultz who said yesterday, January 16th:

Schultz: (23:02) I tell you what, if I lived in Massachusetts I’d try to vote 10 times.  I don’t know if they’d let me or not, but I’d try to.  Yeah, that’s right.  I’d cheat to keep these bastards out.  I would.  ‘Cause that’s exactly what they are!

Then there was none other than Chris “Obama makes my leg tingle!” Matthews who expressing his concern that there wasn’t enough votes in Massachusetts to buy, said:

“You know, in the old days you’d go back to the people you were sure are going to vote Democrat, you’d get them lunch and a car, you’d make sure they got to the polling place and in some cases you’d be buying people to get them.  But I hear, talking to somebody today, that there aren’t people up there in Massachusetts like that anymore.”

I’d like to believe that Schultz and Matthews are the minority in our liberal, lamestream media but the reality is more likely to be that Shultz and Matthews are simply stupid enough to say what the rest of their liberal lamestream co-whores in the media are truly thinking!

The special election in Massachusetts this Tuesday, if not a complete blow-out for Scott Brown is going to look alot like FloriDUH in 2000.

Let’s get ready to hit the streets and stop the Al-Democrats from stealing another election.

Democrats Can Still Pass “ObamaCare” If Coakley Loses

The Nuclear Option Has Been Known for Months

As we reported on this very blog several months ago, the Democrats have always had in their back pocket the “nuclear option” to pass ObamaCare even if they lost their supermajority in the U.S. Senate, which it certainly appears they’re on the precipice of doing this coming Tuesday.

Democrat James Clyburn on Air America Radio, October 29th 2009 described the Democrat Plan to pass health care even if they lacked a “super majority” or a single Republican Vote.   (Click link above to view.)

This bill is not dead yet, folks and we need to make sure that the pressure is kept on the Republican party to remain uniform in their opposition, and to pressure pro-life Democrats such as Bart Stupak from Michigan to stop them from voting for this obamanation.

I don’t know (or care …) who the idiots are that are advising Obama to campaign for Coakley this weekend but suffice it to say that I think that David Axelrod is giving Obama some pretty bad advice.  Let's look at the position Obama's putting himself in by injecting himself in the Massachusetts Senate Race:

1. Damn'ed if he does.  Obama shows up in Massachusetts, campaigns for Coakley and she loses.  Coakley’s loss is blamed on an unpopular President who’s below 44% in “popularity.”
2. Obama stays away from Massachusetts and Coakley loses.  Obama gets the blame for not helping Coakley, and the left wing extremist Democrats are upset.
3. Obama stays away from Massachusetts and somehow Coakley wins.  It damages Obama’s credibility, giving the Blue Dog Democrats reason to think they don’t need Obama to win in 2010 and end up running against him and his agenda.
4. Obama campaigns for Coakley and she wins.  No one cares because let’s face it, it's Massachusetts, a deep blue state and not an indicator for the rest of the country.
5. Obama campaigns for Coakley, who ends up losing to Scott Brown by 5% of more which is seen as a major defeat for Obama personally, and “ObamaCare.”

I don’t see how anyone can tell me that Obama has anything to win here.  Who ever’s advising Obama on this one is about as incompetent of a political strategist as one can possibly get.  (I’ve been inside the beltway, that’s saying something!)

The fact that a Republican is even competitive in Massachusetts which hasn’t elected a Republican to the U.S. Senate in decades should tell you how much trouble Obama and the Democrats are truly in.  Yet, they insist on committing political suicide by passing “health care reform?”

When more than 74% of the country want Congress to focus on the Economy and only 12% say health care reform is more important, our only conclusion is that we have a woefully out of touch Congress and President who are about to get their asses handed to them in a national referendum on the President and Congress this Tuesday.

Pass the popcorn.

In negotiating additional “carve outs” to get enough votes to pass the House & Senate reconciled legislation, Obama took a personal role overnight to cut a deal for the SEIU, Automobile, and other powerful labor unions to exempt them from having to pay the “Cadillac tax” for health care plans that are worth more than $24,000 per year.

In cutting the deal, the Obama Administration is placing more of the   tax burden on those of us who do not belong to a labor union.

A violation of the Equal Protection Clause under the 10th Amendment to our Constitution?  You bet it is.

Bend over America, “Change” is going to hurt.

Don't Want To Be Forced Into ObamaCare?

We're All Amish Now!

 A little known provision in both the House and Senate versions of ObamaCare is an exemption for the Amish to exempt themselves from the same government mandates and taxes that ObamaCare would impose on the rest of us!

The Amish and several other lesser known religious sects are covered by a "religious conscience" exemption, which allows people with religious objections to insurance to opt out of the mandate.

The exemption is expected to survive reconciliation negotiations between House and Senate managers into the final version that both are expected to vote on sometime this month.

The Amish consist of several branches, some more conservative than others and rely on a community ethic in which families rely upon each other, communities pitch in to help neighbors, and generally disdain government assistance.

Lawmakers included the exception at the urging of Amish groups which have steadily increased in the New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Iowa states.  Although the legislation does not explicitly name the Amish as a group that would be considered "exempt" from the law, other groups including Christian Scientists, Orthodox Jews and Scientologists may also be able to claim the exemption.

Marci A. Hamilton, who teaches at the University's Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, wrote at Findlaw.com in August, "If the government can tolerate a religious exemption, then it must do so evenhandedly among religious believers with the same beliefs. This is sheer favoritism for a certain class of religions, or even for one religion."

Congressional aides said the exemption is based on a carve-out the Amish have had from Social Security and Medicare taxes since the 1960s. Whether Amish businesses, however, would fall under the bill's mandates is still an open question.  Sen. Charles E. Schumer, D-N.Y., who was a key negotiator on the Senate bill, supports the religious exemption.


Editors Note: Freedom of Religion (and excemption from ObamaCare) For Thee, But Not For Me!  What part of "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercize thereof" does this Congress not understand?

Furthermore, what part of Equal Protection under the law (Tenth Amendment) don't these bozo's get?  At every turn, literally every day yet another Constitutional flaw is found in "ObamaCare." 

When this Obamanation gets to the U.S. Supreme Court (and rest assured, it will ....) the Conservatives that dominate the USSC are going to have a field day picking ObamaCare apart due to its numerous violations of the United States Constitution.

Millions More Unemployed Longer Than Ever Before

Lost in last week’s headlines was the fact that the current recession, who’s recovery is hampered by threats of increased taxation, government regulation and excessive government spending on make-work jobs that cost more than $200k per job to create, is the fact that as of the end of December 2009, the United States of America has more unemployed people than any past recession since the Great Depression.

That officially makes this the Great Recession.

The Bureau of Labor & Statistics a department of the Federal Government reported just this past Friday that there are a record number of American’s on long-term unemployment benefits, and that it takes a record amount of time for those who lose their jobs to find new ones.



Nearly 9,000,000 people have been out of work for over 15 weeks, another 6,130,000 have been out of work more than 27 weeks.  That’s 60% of all unemployed. 

Making matters worse, the average amount of time it takes someone who’s been displaced to find a new job (whether in their own field, outside their field, or part time) now takes a record 29 weeks.  That’s the highest in recorded history, or to put it bluntly, another history making Obama first.

Contrast to December of 2008 when the average time to find work was 10.5 weeks, and there were only 2,500,000 on unemployment for 27 weeks or longer.

Clearly Obama’s economic policies have worsened our economic climate, of that there can be no denial, no matter how much Obama tries blaming this extended recession on Bush.

Today there are approximately 17,500,000 Americans out of work once all those who’ve “given up” are also factored back in (that again from the Bureau of Labor & Statistics.)
There can also no longer be any doubt that the unemployment rate has to go up from its current 10% mark due to the nearly 9,000,000 people who’ve been on unemployment for 15 weeks or longer.  The unemployment “bubble” is moving at a rapid pace from short to long term, which also means that those who will be chronically unemployed/under-employed will also grow.

Is it any wonder the Democrats are in trouble for the state of the economy?  Since taking over Congress in 2006 and the White House in 2008, Government spending has grown at its fastest clip post World War II while unemployment has soared and our economy has tanked.  Seems America’s figuring out who’s really responsible for this mess.

Want To Fix The Economy?

It’s Time To De-Stimulate

Larry Kudlow knows economics and knows precisely why the Obama Administration’s “economic policies” are further eroding our economy:

Check this out. On Friday, the day of the sub-par jobs release, President Obama comes out with a new green-jobs program that will cost taxpayers $2.3 billion. He predicts targeted tax credits for all of his faddish "energy savers" -- presumably determined by hoards of EPA bureaucrats -- will create 17,000 new jobs. This is out of a total workforce of 153 million.
And wait, it gets better. The average cost of these alleged new green jobs will be $135,000 per job. It's sorta like the $780 billion stimulus plan, half of which has supposedly saved 1 million jobs at roughly $200,000 per job.

And on the subject of energy-related jobs, the EPA is now going to penalize manufacturing America -- or what's left of it -- with tougher standards to reduce smog. Of course, smog has already fallen 25 percent in the last three decades. And the EPA's projected smog savings are so miniscule compared to the new costs for business that the National Association of Manufacturers, the petrochemical makers and others are screaming bloody murder.

Given the Obama “stimulus package” promised to keep unemployment under 8%, and the threat of increased taxes on small businesses and heavy government regulations on the financial services sector has kept lending to small businesses down exacerbating the credit crunch, you and I just know that there’s alot of pent up demand for housing, cars and ultimately new jobs that consumers and businesses have put “on hold” because they don’t know what this half-assed Government is going to do next.  Let’s face it, we’re all just waiting for the other shoe to drop!

I’m not an economics expert, I don’t play one on TV but I did have economics in Graduate School and considered switching to an Economics Major so here’s my thinking on the subject: Our economy has just about “bottomed out” from a hiring perspective.  That is to say, we’ve reached the minimum amount of workers it takes to keep the economy crawling along at the snails pace it is.  Companies large and small just aren’t going to hire anyone until there’s some sort of certainty as to how much (or preferably, how little) the Obama Administration is going to continue meddling in, and screwing up the economy.

Given the Democrats have super-majorities in the House, Senate and control the White House (as well as the media!) the only way to bring back economic certainty at this point is to throw the Democrats out of power.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not advocating for the Republicans (or “stupid” party as I call them of late..) but what other choice is there?  The Democrats have proven they’re a bunch of socialist/marxists they are with government “bailouts”, seizing GM and Chrysler, “Czars” and trying to seize control of our health care.  Most Republican voters (75% according to a recent Rasmussen poll) say their own elected leaders are “out of touch” with the party’s base.

A third-party would simply split the Moderate and Conservative votes in the Republican and Democrat parties keeping the extreme left-wing Democrats in power.  Frankly, this country just won’t survive another few years of that.  It’s time we the working voters of this country took charge and kicked the welfare rats and moochers of this country in the ass by voting all incumbents out of office!

Today I announce my support for GOOH – Get Out Of Our House.   This is a nationwide movement sprung from the Tea Parties to Clean the House & Senate.  That’s right: Vote out every single incumbent, period.  Clearly neither party takes us seriously so it’s time to throw them all out.  No exceptions.  I hope you’ll join me in supporting GOOOH and taking back our Government.  It’s the best, fastest way I can think of in returning fiscal sanity to our Government.

Janet Incompetano To Resign Today?

Sporting the same smarmy “I know better than you do, you ignorant peasants!” look as das Fuhrer Barack Hussein Obama (pictured here from yesterday) Janet Napolitano is expected to resign today as the Department of Homeland Security ‘Czar’ in the wake of the near tragic Christmas Day terrorist attack.

Clearly this Administration had enough intelligence before the attempted attack by Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab to prevent him from getting on Northwest Airlines flight 253 bound for Detroit from Schipol, Netherlands in the first place but failed to move him from the “watch” to the “no board” list.

TSA officials, which come under the Department of Homeland Security planned on asking Abdulmutallab “a few questions” upon landing in Detroit instead.

Mr. Abdulmutallab’s father met with US embassy officials in Abuja, Nigeria, on Nov. 18 to discuss his concern that his son had come under the influence of dangerous extremists, and had planned to travel to Yemen.

At the same time, US intelligence was focused on the possibility of imminent attacks on Americans or American interests in Yemen by Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula. Yet the intelligence community did not connect these dots.

“The [counterterrorism] community failed to follow-up further on this ‘strategic warning,’ ” concludes the report summary.

Abdulmutallab’s name was included in the longest list of possible terrorist names maintained by the US, the Terrorist Identities Datamart Environment (TIDE) database, maintained by the National Counterterrorism Center.

But he was not added to the shorter lists of possibly more dangerous suspects, such as the no-fly list maintained by the FBI’s Terrorist Screening Center. That list includes about 3,400 names.

Good riddance to Janet Incompetano.  As this was the third terrorist attack on U.S. soil since Obama seized power in the White House, it’s only a matter of time until his impeachment for being the most neglectful President on U.S. Security in the history of the country.

We expect those impeachment calls to become much louder after the November 2nd mid-term elections.

Recall of ObamaCare Supporters

The U.S. Citizens Association is attempting to do the impossible by petitioning to recall Senators who voted for Obamacare.   Although recalling those members of Congress who want to wreck the health care system might be desirable, it isn't authorized by the Constitution.
The best voters can do is to sign symbolic petitions that would authorize recall of Senators or Representatives if such a option were available. 

States have the authority to authorize the recall of state officials because state constitutions determine the method of removing those holding offices defined by state constitutions.  However, the U.S. Constitution defines the selection procedures and qualifications for elected federal officials along with  their terms of service and  the methods for removing them from office.        

Incidentally, the U.S. Citizens Association says its mission is "To educate the voters on critical issues driving governmental policy, and why capitalism and individual liberty are vital to a robust economy (and to educate on how failures of Statist policies have led us into the economic catastrophe we now face);..."

Voters may not have to recall members of Congress to get them to change their approach to health care.  A symbolic, or virtual,  recall would be easier to conduct and be more likely to succeed at demonstrating voter displeasure.  The same basic petition form could be used in all states because a symbolic recall wouldn't require adhering to procedures established by different state laws.

The health care revolution will not be televised despite what President Obama promised you two years ago.

Obama has broken his campaign promises to make the health care debate a transparent process after saying he would do so on at least eight ocassions during his 2008 White House run.

Instead, Obama prodded House and Senate Democrats to get him a final health care bill as soon as possible -- encouraging them on Tuesday night to go behind closed doors and skip the usual public negotiations between the two chambers in the interest of speed.

Yesterday, Chris Dodd said he would not be seeking a 6th term, ending a political career marred by massive campaign contributions from Wall Street, the Banking and Mortgage Industries.

Chris “Friend of Angelo” Dodd received several sweetheart mortgage deals while many in this country face losing their homes.

Since 1989, 36 of Dodd's top 50 donors have been Wall Street investment firms or insurance companies, according to data from the Center for Responsive Politics. They gave almost $5 million in donations over that period – about two-thirds of the amount he collected from his top 50 donors.

Among Dodd's Top 5 contributors over that span were collapsed financial firm Bear Stearns (third with $347,350) and troubled insurance giant AIG (fourth at $285,238).

Members of the Senate's powerful banking committee typically get lots of Wall Street cash. Even by those standards, however, Dodd, as committee chairman, beat them all. Only Sen. Charles Schumer (D) of New York, who obtained $4.4 million from Wall Street sources over that period, comes close.

Dodd faced heavy competition in his home state for re-election, and upon seeing he was losing to four Republican challengers, decided to not seek re-election.

A harbinger of things to come.

Senator Ben Nelson, D-Neb., who has come under heavy criticism for his vote on health care reform, now seems to regret the whole thing ever happened. He's down 31 points in the polls against potential challengers for his senate seat and has been in serious damage control mode.

“I think it was a mistake to take health care on as opposed to continuing to spend the time on the economy,” he said.

Gee Ben, ya think?

Byron Dorgan said his decision was not related to the prospect of a tough election battle this year but because he felt it was time to pursue other interests after 30 years in Congress.

Dorgan's surprise announcement could change the political balance in the Senate, where the Democratic caucus's 60-vote majority is exactly enough to overcome any Republican filibuster, a legislative roadblock.

"(Dorgan's) seat is now really one of the Republicans' best opportunities to take a seat from the Democrats," Jennifer Duffy, senior editor of the Cook Political Report, said in a telephone interview. "Psychologically, it doesn't send a positive message to Dorgan's colleagues and the Democratic base."

Obama: Christmas “Incident” Was a “Screw up”

Ten Days Later, Admits Failure To Protect American People

January 10th, 2009 (Reuters) - President Barack Obama told his security chiefs on Tuesday that the botched Christmas Day plane bombing was the result of a screw up by U.S. intelligence and that the country had barely dodged disaster, according to a quotation released by the White House.

"This was a screw up that could have been disastrous," the president said during a meeting in the White House situation room, according to the White House media office. "We dodged a bullet but just barely. It was averted by brave individuals not because the system worked and that is not acceptable. While there will be a tendency for finger pointing, I will not tolerate it."

NoBamaNation Editor: Didn’t Obama just point a finger, or doesn’t it count when he does it?  Laughable that it takes Obama ten full days to finally say this was a ‘screw up’ of monumental proportions.  Had it not been for one brave Dutch tourist, Northwest Airlines flight 253 would’ve blown up over Detroit.  Not that anyone would’ve noticed the wreckage in that hell-hole called Detroit or the 253 dead bodies that would’ve fallen from the sky in that complete crap-hole of a city.

How about this, Mr. Obama: You, your entire administration, the TSA, Intelligence Services, and all your stinking CZARS are a complete bunch of screw-ups that act like blameless children in Washington DC.  Had Flight 253 blown up, you’d no doubt have found some way to “blame Bush” again for your inept, incompetent bumbling of this Nation’s affairs.

Pre-Christmas Intelligence Briefing Failed To Mention Threats from Yemen Based Al-Qaeda

In a Friday night newsdump by the lamestream media, it was disclosed by Newsweek that Obama received a high-level briefing on terrorist threats against the United States three days before Christmas.

The report titled “Key Homeland Threats” produced by several U.S. intelligence agencies failed to mention the threats coming from Yemen, including the unsuccessful attempt by Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab to bring down Northwest Airlines flight 253.  You may recall that Mutallab’s own father turned him into the U.S. Consulate in Nigeria after receiving a call from his terrorist son that he would never hear from him again.

Those present during the “high level security briefing” included Attorney General Eric Holder, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano and FBI Director Robert Mueller. The CIA and National Intelligence Directors Office were represented by deputy agency heads: CIA deputy director Steven Kappes, and David Gompert, the principal deputy to National Intelligence Czar Dennis Blair. Also present was Michael Leiter, director of the National Counter-terrorism Center a unit of the Intelligence Czar's office which was created after 9/11 to ensure that intelligence reporting about possible terrorist plots was shared quickly among all US agencies who might have some capability to do something about it.

What we have here is an EPIC FAILURE of the Obama Administration and its appointed Security “Czars” to “connect the dots” on critical information to stop terrorist attacks on United States soil.

While Obama prefers to continue to blame former President Bush for these failures in intelligence, the fact remains that Obama has done nothing to rectify the gaping holes in our national security assessment frameworks.  The key question to ask here is: if the frameworks that Bush left behind were so bad, how is it that they prevented any terrorist attacks on U.S. soil post 9-11, and why didn’t Obama order a top down review of them upon assuming office? 

The fact is the Democrats and specifically Obama are extremely weak on National security, preferring to extend an “olive branch” to those who would attack and kill us.  The “blame Bush” excuses are no longer valid, and Obama owns two terrorist attacks on U.S. soil – both Fort Hood and Northwest Airlines flight 253.

As Obama and his security “czars” continue to drop the ball on National Security, one can only expect the number of terrorist attacks on U.S. soil to increase in the coming year.

While our country is under attack from the extreme liberal left take heart my friends as there are only 364 days left until We The People end the tyranny of the Socialist / Marxist / Communist / Environmental Whacko Democrats in the United States Congress! 

In the abyss that is a deep economic recession with persistently high unemployment that seems to have no end and an Administration that seems to be completely clueless as to the problems this country faces, we should be encouraged that the new year brings with it a renewed sense of purpose that it is our time and our responsibility to right the ship of state that is the United States Government and restore it to the Constitutional limits as set forth by our Founding Fathers.

Yesterday I wrote of the “historic firsts” of 2009, otherwise known as Obama’s failures.  Today I present my predictions for the new year, some of which are not going to be good, and I want to assure those who read this blog that I do not make these predictions with any sense of ‘glee.’  Rather it is with a sense of sadness at what our country has become in the last year that I make them.  Here goes.

• Obama’s “Popularity” Will Stabilize Around 25% which will cause race relations in this country to degrade even further than they are today.  The “post partisan” President has only begun to bitterly divide the country in 2009, we’ll see an escalation of redistributionist policies in 2010 which will pit the “haves” versus the “have nots” causing near street riots and protests.
• ObamaCare Will Fail.  The House and Senate bills will not be reconcilable and there will be a revolt by the Blue Dog Democrats in the House who after having heard an earful from their constituencies during the Christmas break will vote against the final bill.  Several Democrats in the Senate will also balk at the reconciled version of the legislation, sending it to its final failure. 
• Democrats Will Run Against Obama in an Attempt to Win Re-election.   By May/June of this year, Democrats will be openly running against Obama in order to win re-election after the ObamaCare fiasco and increasingly worsening economic conditions.
• The Democrat Congress and Obama Will Try and Nationalize More Than 20,000,000 Illegal Immigrants.  This in an attempt to register them as Democrats and steal the 2010 elections.
• Democrats Will Lose Their Supermajority In Congress.  Republicans will gain 5-7 seats in the Senate even though they’re defending more seats than the Democrats in this year’s elections.  As a result, Democrats will lose their 60 vote supermajority in the Senate.  In the House Democrats will lose 45-48 seats, but still maintain control of the House.  Harry Reid will lose his Senate seat, Nancy Pelosi will retain her House seat, but lose the Speaker’s position as “moderate” Democrats attempt to seize control of the party. 
• Unemployment Will Remain at or Near 10% for 2010.  Continued monthly layoff’s of 475,000 on average will keep the unemployment rate in the double digits through the year, forcing Congress to extend unemployment benefits for a record third time in a row.  (Another Obama first.)
• GDP Won’t Exceed 2.75% for All of 2010.  There’s simply no way it can with high unemployment, even with the “record productivity” by America’s workers.  With this lackluster “growth” there simply won’t be enough jobs produced to bring the unemployment rate down.
• Federal Deficit Will Exceed $1.5 Trillion For 2010.  Despite Obama’s “pledge” to reduce the record deficits he’s set, Congress will continue to spend money like a bunch of drunken fools as they attempt to buy the 2010 elections with give-away programs and pork barrel spending as they try to “stimulate” the economy into growth.
• Congress Will Expand The Debt Ceiling to $14 Trillion Dollars.   (See above as to why.)
• Increased Terrorist Attacks on U.S. Soil.  The delayed, confusing response by the Obama Administration in the wake of the Fort Hood and NorthWest Airlines flight 253 terrorist attacks has emboldened Al-Qaeda to try additional attacks on U.S. soil. 
• Iran Will Test a Nuclear Bomb.  Obama’s confusing policy on Iran will embolden Ahmedinejad and Iran will acquire enough yellowcake to produce and test a nuclear weapon.  The response from the United States and the Useless Nations (U.N.) will be a deafening silence. 
• Some OPEC Countries Will Demand Payment for Oil in a Currency Other Than the American Dollar.  The continued devaluation of the dollar, caused by the U.S. Treasury printing more money and the Obama Administration incurring debt this country cannot pay back will cause the dollar to collapse versus the Euro, British Pound and a basket of other currencies causing OPEC to demand payment in a currency other than the dollar.  In addition to skyrocketing oil prices, other major commodities such as gold and food will also see major price increases.
• The Return of the “Misery Index.”  Inflation or hyper-inflation due to the devalued dollar will make the “malaise days” of the Carter Administration look like a veritable picnic by comparison.
• The United States Will Not Be Out of Iraq By June.  Increasing violence in Iraq and a de-stabilizing government as a result will force U.S. troops to remain in Iraq beyond June of this year.  Many will look back at Obama’s policy of announcing troop withdrawls as the cause of escalating violence.
• General McChrystal Will Resign.  Troops will not arrive fast enough to stem the violence in Afghanistan as the United States continues to lose troops in the region.  Escalating violence in Pakistan will expand the scope of the war, the United States will not be prepared to fight on two fronts in the region.  McChrystal will resign either in disgust or be blamed for the failure by the Obama administration.

Two more predictions that I wanted to call out separately, primarily because they are not directly related to the Obama Administration.

First, Rush Limbaugh will return to the airwaves with a renewed sense of purpose and passion after suffering an apparent heart attack.  I’ll be the first to say that I stopped listening to Rush after George W. Bush was elected because I came to view him as nothing more than a rah-rah machine for the Bush Administration.  The election of Obama brought back the old Rush Limbaugh that I first listened to in 1989 and this “Rush” seems to have a renewed sense of purpose and passion.  There’s nothing like a life threatening scare to focus someone on their purpose, and I predict Rush will be back stronger and more forcefully than ever.  Thank Almighty God for that, this country sure needs his voice and contrary to whatever Mr. Limbaugh says, he is the de-facto leader of the Conservative movement in this country.

Second, the Tea Party movement will gain strength, organizing locally to get out the Conservative vote in 2010.  The media managed to ignore 2,000,000 people marching on Washington DC on September 12th, 2009 but they will not be able to ignore the election results in November which will be a direct result of those in the Tea Party movement.

Finally, I’m sure you’ve noticed I didn’t say anything about Sarah Palin and that is not by coincidence.  She’s a “wild card” in 2010 and there’s really no telling what she’s going to do next.  Will she have influence on the 2010 elections?  Of that I have no doubt, but what remains unclear is what impact will she have?  Some have looked at NY-23 as a harbinger of the “Palin effect” in running RINO’s out of the Republican Party resulting in Democrats getting elected.  One race does not a strategy make and those who would write-off Sarah Palin as a Presidential Candidate do so at their own peril.  She speaks to real Americans in the heartland, that’s something the liberal leftist elites on the east and west coasts simply cannot comprehend.
